Our Passion...

...for food began growing up with simple, healthy meals at the family table and learning to cook with our families. Weekends at Farmer’s Markets instilled an appreciation for the variety of fresh vegetables and the creative foods offered by local vendors. Big River Pizza was the natural evolution from taking my love of simple, vibrant food and bringing it to the outdoors throughout the beautiful Mississippi River Valley.

We grew up eating Chicago pizza, visiting the Farmer’s Markets of California, enjoying outdoor concerts,  and county fairs while working in a variety of kitchens for a living.  We bring our enjoyment of the open air venue and regional food.

You will find us in our natural habitat at various Twin Cities Farmer’s Markets, as well as other outdoor art and music festivals. We can cater your private event and tailor a menu to suit your needs and tastes.  We look forward to making some delicious food with you.

Please see our calendar for details. Our specialty is catering private events, weddings, office parties, and anything that requires a creative and delicious dining experience. We have a menu featuring some of our favorite items, we can provide a more extensive menu of the wide array of options available for a five-course wood-fired experience for you to choose from, or we are always excited to work with your interests and ideas in creating a tailored menu for your event.
